We’re excited to congratulate Desert Blue Connect on receiving funding through the City of Greater Geraldton’s Community Project Support Program.
This support will help continue and grow Desert Blue Connect and Community, Respect & Equality events into the future, with a particular focus on the upcoming annual Walk Against Violence in Geraldton this November. The walk honours the lives lost each year in Western Australia to family and domestic violence and features powerful talks from keynote speakers on issues that matter to our community, with a strong focus on prevention.
The funding will contribute to upgrading the organisation’s event sound system, helping to ensure high-quality events where everyone can clearly hear these important messages.
Thank you to the City of Greater Geraldton for investing in this event and recognising its importance to our community. Both the City and Desert Blue Connect are proud partners in the Community, Respect & Equality Initiative, leading the way in the primary prevention of family violence locally.
