,Why Mission Australia signed up to the Community, Respect & Equality (CRE) initiative.
Mission Australia is committed to making a valid contribution toward ending family and domestic violence.
This will only be achievable through a unified, collaborative strategy across all organisations that recognise and acknowledge the importance of gender equality. Gender equality is essential in contributing to a safe and prosperous workplace—where all are equally valued, given the freedom to reach their potential, and encouraged and supported to speak out where any form of disrespect is experienced.
Joining the Community, Respect & Equality (CRE) initiative allows Mission Australia to be part of a broader, cooperative effort to achieve these goals. This initiative provides the best chance of creating safe, productive workplaces that promote equal opportunities for all and celebrate diversity.
So far, Mission Australia has:
-
Added CRE messaging to email taglines
-
Displayed a CRE pull-up banner in the Mission Australia reception area
-
Placed CRE stickers on all Mission Australia vehicles and at the entrance door
-
Presented information about the CRE initiative to the Mission Australia team
These actions reflect our commitment to meaningful change.
