Community, Respect & Equality is pleased to launch its new “Introduction to Primary Prevention of Family Violence” training. This one-hour, interactive workshop is designed to build understanding of the drivers of family violence, the role of gender equality, and simple, practical actions that people can take to help stop violence against women.

The “Introduction to Primary Prevention” will add to the suite of trainings being delivered by Community, Respect & Equality’s training group, which also includes Speaking Out Against Disrespect active bystander training.

The first public training is scheduled for Tuesday 2nd December as part of the local 16 Days in WA campaign, and is open to everyone. It is especially valuable for staff of organisations that have signed on to the Community, Respect & Equality Agreement, professionals wanting to learn more about the foundations of primary prevention, or anyone keen to discover practical ways to make a difference in our community.

Community, Respect & Equality members that would like to offer this training within their organisations are encouraged to contact the Primary Prevention Coordinator at Desert Blue Connect, at isabelr@desertblueconnect.org.au.
